Two crushed under train's wheel
Two people were crushed under an intercity train at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur on Friday midnight and Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Md Abdur Razzak, 28, son of Md Nur Islam of village Sherpur-Telipara of Parbatipur upazila in the district. Earlier, another unidentified man was crushed under an intercity train on Thursday night.
Parbatipur railway police said the body of Razzak recovered about 10km away from Parbatipur railway station on Friday midnight.
According to the family members, Razzak went missing from Friday evening soon after he arrived to attend a wedlock party at Panthapara village of Parbatipur upazila.
Later locals found the body of Razzak on a rail track and informed the police.
On the other hand, Md Shahidul Islam, a relative of the victim, alleged Razzak was murdered as he earlier received a death threat over a land dispute.
After death threat he filed a general diary with Parbatipur Model Police Station on April 18 this year, added Shahidul.
The body was sent to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
