Schoolgirl commits suicide

A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide at Jatrabari in the city yesterday evening. The deceased Mili Akhter, 15, is a student of class nine of Jatrabari Ideal School and College. Mili's father Anwar Hossain said he found his daughter hanging with a scarf from the ceiling of her room at his Uttar Jatrabari residence at around 6:00pm yesterday. Family members broke into the room and rushed her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
