Release of global climate fund discussed

US Ambassador James F Moriarty yesterday called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and discussed various issues, including the urgent need for releasing global fund on climate change and foreign direct investment in Bangladesh. PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told reporters that issues like democracy, human rights, law and order, countering terrorism, education and health also came up for discussion at the Prime Minister's Office. The prime minister reiterated Dhaka's stance not to allow the use of Bangladesh soil for any kind of terrorist act. Moriarty praised the economic progress of Bangladesh.
