College student killed in city bike crash

A college student was killed and another injured when their motorcycle hit a road divider in the city's Tejgaon area early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Rajib Kor, a third year student of Bangladesh College of Leather Technology (BCTL) in Hazaribagh. Injured Nahid Hasan, 23, also a student of the college, was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Rajib lost control over the speedy motorbike and hit the road divider near Bijoy Sarani-Tejgaon Link Road at about 2:30am, said Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station. Local people took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared Rajib dead. Later police handed over the body to his relatives without performing autopsy, the OC said.
