Kidnapped Ctg college student rescued
Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police rescued a kidnapped person after arresting five hijackers in the port city on Wednesday night.
The arrestees are Samir Sarker, 42, Tanmoy Barua, 26, Biton Barua, 29, Piklu Sarker, 27, and Choton Dey, 28.
The rescued person is Anwar Hossain, 24, a student of Chittagong Islamia College.
DB police sources said a team of DB police headed by Assistant Police Commissioner Abdullah-al-Mahmud nabbed Samir, Tanmoy and Biton from the city's Oli Khan Mosque area of Chawkbazar.
Later, Anwar was rescued on information from the arrestees from a room behind Royal saloon in Chawkbazar with the other kidnapper, he added.
