'Let all be aware about road accidents'
Awami League lawmaker Advocate Tarana Halim yesterday said every citizen needs to step forward to build awareness regarding road accidents.
Only integrated and united efforts will curb the road accidents, she added.
Tarana, a general secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote, said told a human chain programme. Families United Against Road Accidents (FUARA) organised the programme in front of the New Market Government College in the city, says a press release.
The law minister has assured to enforce stringent laws to prevent accidents, Tarana said adding that the prime minister is also aware of the situation and does not want to see any more accidents.
Cultural personalities, college teachers and members of various organisations took part in the programme.
