English teaching dev event held
A two-day educational development programme titled Leadership in English Language Teaching ended at Brac Centre Inn in the city on Friday, says a press release.
A total of 68 persons who are engaged in teaching English at different universities, colleges, and schools joined the programme.
Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA) organised the programme in association with TESOL Arabia Leadership and Management SIG.
The programme focuses on the development of knowledge, skills, and strategies of professional English teachers to better their leadership and management capacities.
TESOL President-elect (2010-2013) Dr Christine Coombe with its ten facilitators, Regional English Language Office Director Fife Macduff of US State Department and eight other leadership educators from the UAE conducted eleven sessions during the two-day occasion.
