Call to create atmosphere of tolerance
Bangladesh Kallayan Party Chairman Syed Muhammad Ibrahim yesterday urged the government to create an atmosphere of tolerance in the political arena so that democracy flourishes.
In a democratic country, all the political parties have the right to do politics and express their opinion. The government should give up the way of violence and create an atmosphere of tolerance so that all political parties can run their political activities and express their opinion, he said.
He was speaking at a discussion organised to mark the party's third founding anniversary at the Diploma Engineers' Institute auditorium in the city yesterday, says a press release.
He also urged the government to prioritise the country's interest while dealing with foreign companies on natural resources.
