Constable dies of heart attack in Ctg

A constable of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) of motor transport section died after a parade in Chittagong yesterday. The deceased Shahjada Kamal, 43, is the son of Abdur Rab Haoladar of Mohischarani of Morelganj thana in Bagerhat district. Sub-Inspector (SI) Abu Jaher Sarkar of Dam Para Police Lines said yesterday was the parade session of about one thousand police constables who sat for promotion examination from constable to assistant sub-inspector. “Shahjada was suffering from heart disease for a long time and so could not attend the parade although he was present. “When his physical condition deteriorated, he was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at 1:00pm,” said the SI.
