Railway officer stabbed to death in Ctg
Unidentified muggers in Chittagong stabbed a railway officer to death on Sunday.
The deceased Abdul Hai Mojumder, 57, senior budget officer of Bangladesh Railway, is the son of Badsha Miyan of Bare Fatepur under Langalkot thana in Comilla.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Najnin Sultana of Kotwali Police Station told The Daily Star that some muggers stabbed Hai, on his way to railway club on a rickshaw around 11:00pm, in front of railway pay and cash office.
Locals, on hearing his cries, rushed to the spot and sent him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
A case was filed with Kotwali Police Station in this connection.
