139 policemen leave for Darfur

A contingent of 139 police personnel left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday night to join the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Darfur (BANFPU-1). The team led by Additional Police Super Mohammad Sujaet Islam will replace BANFPU-1 unit members there. High police officials were present at the airport to see them off. About two thousand police personnel in twelve Formed Police Units are engaged in UN peacekeeping missions in different parts of the world.
