Missing boy's body found floating in Buriganga
Police yesterday recovered the floating body of a child who went missing on Sunday after a boat capsized on Buriganga River.
The body of Rahat, 6, son of of Khalek Mridha of South Keraniganj, was recovered from Shambazar Ghat at around 12:15pm.
Sub-Inspector Rabiul Azam of South Keraniganj Police Station said a launch Dipraj-2 hit the boat carrying Khalek along with his wife and children while they were crossing the river.
All but Rahat managed to swim to safety and was missing since then, he added.
Police recovered the body when local people of Shambazar Ghat area informed them of a body floating on the river.
