Astronomical association to celebrate New Year's first sunrise
Bangladesh Astronomical Association will celebrate the New Year's first sunrise in Sherpur where Garo and Koch indigenous people reside.
Noted poets, writers, scientists, science workers, nature experts, teachers, students and journalists will attend the festival, scheduled to be held on December 31.
The festival is being held since 2001 in different locations such as Saint Martin's Island, Sundarbans, Keokradang, Birishiri in Netrakona, Tetulia, Nijhum Dwip in Noakhali, Pablakhali forest area in Rangamati and Hati Matha hilly areas in Khagrachhari.

The registration fee for one person is Tk 2,500.
