Three die in road crashes
Three people killed in separate road accidents in Sathkhira and Jhenaidah districts yesterday and Sunday.
Our Correspondent from Satkhira adds: Two people, including a madrasa student, were killed in separate road accidents in the district yesterday and Sunday night.
Police said a truck hit Raju Ahmed, 12 son of Abu Bakar Siddique, a student of class five of Chandanppur Dakhil Madrasa, at Kadpur intersection in Klolaroa upazila at about 10:00am yesterday. He died on the way to Kalaroa Upazila Health Complex.
In another incident, Nur Mohammad, 70, of village Badhghata in Shyamnagar upazila, while waiting at the upazila bus stand, a bus hit him at about 10:00am yesterday.
He was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital from the upazila health complex where he died at about 10:00pm on Sunday night.
Our Correspondent from Jhenidah reports: a human hauler driver was killed as it turned turtle after he lost control over the steering at Dulalmundia bazaar in Kaliganj upazila yesterday morning.
Alamgir Hossain, 25, son of Maznur Rahman of Kalicharanpur village in Sadar upazila, died on the spot.
