Culprits of rape yet to be held
Police have yet to arrest the five youths who allegedly raped a garment worker in Lalkhan Bazar area in Chittagong city on Saturday night.
A case has been filed against Swapan, Rubel, Kalam, Babu, and Suman in connection with the gang rape.
The five are accused of violating the girl aged 15 and of pushing her off Matijhorna hill afterwards. She is now under treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
OC of Khulsi Mashiur Rahman said they launched a hunt to arrest the culprits.
The victim's elder sister said a local influential group pressured them to withdraw the case. She sought security in this regard.
