3 Hizb ut-Tahir men held in city
Three suspected members of the banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh were arrested in the city's Siddheswari yesterday.
They are Masud Rana, former student of Chittagong University, Mohammad Riyad, a student of Stamford University and Moinuddin, an ex-student of Notre Dame College.
Police arrested them from Siddheswari Balur Math area while they were sticking 'anti-government' posters on the walls at about 2:00am, said Shibli Noman, OC of Ramna Police Station. Police also seized 72 posters from them, he said.
A case was filed with the police in this connection.
