Ctg BNP men damage 17 vehicles
Police yesterday foiled procession of Chittagong city unit BNP at its office at Kazir Dewri.
BNP activists vandalised as many as 17 vehicles in the city.
Two factions of city unit BNP locked in a clash over the venue of the rally on the premises of Nasiman Bhaban, the city unit office, around 4:30pm in support of 48-hour hartal starting from today.
BNP activists damaged some 12 vehicles at Kazir Dewri. At 4:45pm they clashed with police for half an hour in the area, leaving 20 people, including four policemen, injured.
They also vandalised five vehicles and barricaded the road at Enayet Bazar intersection for about one and a half hour from 5:00pm.
