City AL leader killed in road crash
A ward level Awami League leader was killed after being hit by a bus yesterday in the capital's Pallabi.
The deceased Mostafa Kamal Kazi, 50, of Pallabi was a leader of 92 No ward unit of AL, claimed family members.
A witness of the accident Yusuf Ali Bhuiya said around 50 to 60 AL activists gathered at Mirpur-11 in the morning to protest the hartal called by BNP-led four-party alliance.
As Mostafa was trying to cross the road around 1:30pm, a Pallabi - bound bus of Choice Paribahan hit him.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with critical injuries where duty doctors declared him dead.
