PM receives annual audit report
Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Ahmed Ataul Hakeem yesterday handed over annual audit report on spending from the state coffers to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.
Hasina underscored the need for keeping the audit reports updated to reduce corruption and irregularities.
She observed that national audit reports could not be kept updated as the last BNP-Jamaat government did not continue the process while any work was hardly done during the 80s to update the audit reports.
