Obituary
Abul Kashem, a freedom fighter, passed away at Satkhira Sadar Hospital on Friday night due to cancer at the age of 57.
He left behind his wife, three sons and three daughters.
He was buried with state honour at his family graveyard at Kushkhali village yesterday.
Engr Sheikh Mujibur Rahman MP, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on communications ministry, Nazrul Islam, chairman of Sadar upazila parishad, and Enamul Haque, district commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad, condoled his death.
They conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
