RU celebrates 58th anniversary
The 58th founding anniversary of Rajshahi University was celebrated on the campus yesterday with much enthusiasm and due festivity.
Rajshahi University started its journey on this day in 1953.
The day started with hoisting of the national flag and the university flag atop the administrative building, central library, vice-chancellor's office and different dormitories.
Hundreds of students, teachers and employees of the university also brought out a colourful procession on the campus.
Later, floral wreaths were placed at the Shaheed Minar, university mass grave and the grave of Shaheed Prof Shamsuzoha.
A discussion was also held at Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium of the university.
