Sahara slates electronic media
Home Minister Sahara Khatun criticised electronic media for broadcasting allegedly biased reports of the hartal incident on July 6 when Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque and two police officers were injured.
Briefing reporters after an inter-ministerial meeting at her secretariat office, she urged the media to telecast impartial news.
She said media repeatedly used the nearly unclad photo of Farroque but did not highlight his assault on police.
She recalled a past police assault which left her with a broken leg and said she or her party men did not retaliate. No one can assault police, not even politicians, she said.
