Minister visits the injured
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Mujibur Rahman Fakir yesterday visited injured schoolboy Habib Ullah at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Condition of Habib, the first boy of class seven in Abu Torab Bohumukhi High School, is improving gradually, said doctors of CMCH to the state minister.
Dr Maswood Ahmed, in-charge of ICU at CMCH, requested the state minister to take necessary steps for immediate instalment of five more ventilators and five monitors for ICU.
Dr. Masud told The Daily Star that now there are six ventilators in CMCH ICU. On of them remains out of order, and there are only three monitors in the ICU.
Earlier the state minister visited Centre Point Hospital in the city.
Now 11 students injured in Mirsarai road crash on Monday are undergoing treatment at the hospital, said Dr Pushpal Dutta.
