Census report today
The preliminary report on the country's 5th Population and Housing Census, 2011 will be released today.
“The preliminary report will reveal population of the country at national level and also at district level,” said Statistics Division Secretary Riti Ibrahim while talking to the news agency.
When contacted, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) census wing director Ashim Kumar Dey said findings of the report would be revealed at 11:00am at the NEC auditorium in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Planning Minister AK Khandker and PM's Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman are likely to present on the occasion, he said.
