Road accidents kill two
Two people, including an eight-year-old girl, were killed in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Satkhira yesterday.
Staff correspondent from Chittagong reports: A college student was killed as a four-wheeler, locally known as Rider, hit him while he was crossing road at Loharpul of Saraipara under Pahartali Police Station in the port city yesterday.
The deceased is Najmul Alam, son of Nabi Alam, a student of BF Shahin College.
Police arrested the four-wheeler driver.
Our Satkhira correspondent adds: An eight-year old girl was killed as a fish-laden pickup van hit her while she was standing by the side of the road near her grandfather's house on Satkhira-Kaliganj road at Bagnalta village in Kaliganj upazila yesterday.The deceased is Shifa Parvin, daughter of Md Manirul Islam, of village Dhakuria of Manirampur upazila in Jessore.
