CU celebrates Tagore's birthday
The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate Poet Rabindranath Tagore with much festivity yesterday.
The festival began at the auditorium of Social Sciences faculty.
Former chief adviser to a caretaker government Muhammad Habibur Rahman was present as the chief guest while CU Pro-Vice Chancellor Mohammad Alauddin attended the event with CU Vice-Chancellor Anwarul Azim Arif was in the chair.
Noted Tagore singers Mihir Nandi and Lili Islam enthralled the audience by their rendition.
