Work without fear: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the government officials yesterday to perform duties without fear of any political manipulation and mishandling.
“You (the government officials) may have your own political choice. You may give your vote to a particular party. Those are personal matters. But you must do your respective duties as a government official with full honesty and sincerity,” she said.
Hasina made the remarks while addressing the Nurse Assembly' 2011 at the capital's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre yesterday.
The PM informed the gathering that process is underway to create new post of 5,000 nurses.
The government would appoint 500 doctors and 14,000 health assistants very soon while a total of 2,664 new posts of different classes have been created, Hasina said.
Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque, State Minister Majibur Rahman Fakir, Health Adviser to the PM Syed Mudasser Ali, and Nurses' Association's general secretary Saleha Khatun also addressed the function with association president Ismat Ara Parveen in the chair.
