BSD rally foiled in Ctg
Police and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) injured four activists of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and foiled their rally at Sholoshahar under Panchlaish Police Station in the port city yesterday.
They also snatched away the banner of the rally.
BSD arranged the rally protesting the government's signing of a production sharing contract with the US-based oil company ConocoPhillips and demanding steps to strengthen Petrobangla to explore mineral resources.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Ismail Hossain of Panchlaish Police Station, said they intercepted the rally as they had no permission to hold the rally.
