Stalker yet to be arrested
Police are yet to arrest the stalker for whom a schoolgirl committed suicide at her Motijheel residence in the city on Tuesday night.
The girl, Sumaiya Akhter, 12, a class-VI student of Motijheel Model High School killed herself by hanging at Motijheel AGB Colony in the city.
Abdul Awal Kamrul, her maternal uncle, alleged that a youth named Selim of Arambagh had been stalking her on her way to and from school and coaching centre. Her mother rebuked her over the matter just last evening, he added.
Though the family members filed an unnatural death case on Tuesday night but did not mention the name of the stalker even they did not complain verbally to the police, said Tofazzol Hossain, officer-in-charge of Motijheel Police Station.
