23 vehicles, drivers sued
A mobile court of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) yesterday filed 23 cases against vehicles and its drivers for driving vehicles without licenses, route permits or using fake licenses.
The court gave imprisonment to 10 drivers in different terms from three days to one month while it fined six vehicles Tk 9,000 and dumped seven vehicles to the dumping ground.
Executive Magistrate SM Rezaul Karim with the help of law enforcers conducted the drive in front of Jatiya Press Club in the city yesterday.
