Minor girl violated by stepfather
Police arrested a man yesterday as he violated his stepdaughter, a student of class IV, in a residential hotel in Dinajpur on Wednesday night.
The victim was admitted to Panchagarh sadar hospital after she fell sick and passed out in her house in Ahammadpur village under Thakurgaon sadar upazila yesterday morning.
Police said Khademul Islam, 40, the stepfather, brought the girl to Thakurgaon for treatment on Wednesday and took her to the hotel in Dinajpur at night.
The culprit feed the victim sedative and violated her as she was deep asleep. The girl returned home with him Thursday and fell sick yesterday morning.
Local people handed over Khademul to police yesterday morning as the incident came to light following the victim's sickness.
