Youth arrested
Police yesterday arrested a young man who allegedly killed a woman and her three-year-old daughter on Thursday afternoon for snatching Tk 30,000 and gold ornaments.
Rabiul, 26, a local buyer of scrap items, son of late Selim Mia, of Laksam in Comilla, confessed the murder with an iron rod before journalists.
Police said Rabiul was arrested from his relative's house at Paschimgram Miapara in Laksam upazila of Comilla with looted Tk 27, 700, a pair of gold ear rings, and a gold chain.
