Man strangles pregnant wife in city
A man allegedly strangled his pregnant wife in the city's Kamrangirchar last night.
The deceased Fatema Begum, 22, eight months into her pregnancy, was strangled by her husband Mohammad Shaheen, an ice-cream factory employee of the area, at her father's residence near Lohar Bridge in Kamrangirchar, said Sub-Inspector Arafat Jahan Chowdhury of Kamrangirchar Police Station.
The motive could not be known immediately, he said.
