Charge sheet rejected
Family of state-run Jalalabad Gas official Anwara Abedin Chowdhury, whose decompose body was recovered from their own flat on December 9 last year, yesterday rejected the charge sheet in the case on Sunday.
The family members alleged that police had been engaged in "foul play" since the killing.
They made the remark at a press conference in Sylhet Press Club in the afternoon.
Victim's son Touhidul Abedin Chowdhury read out a statement at the conference. He alleged that police has spared the main culprits behind the killing.
Sylhet Kotwali Police submitted the charge sheet against lone accused Osman Gani to the chief judicial magistrate court on Sunday.
