Cuet BCL boycotts classes

Bangladesh Chhatra League at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet) boycotted classes and halted all academic activities yesterday as eight BCL activists were served show-cause notices for hampering educational atmosphere. The student organisation said class boycott will continue till withdrawal of the notices. Cuet Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Shyamal Kanti Biswas, however, said all examinations were held yesterday. According to the campus sources, BCL activists often engage in infightings with at least twice in June, and following investigation, the university disciplinary committee served the notices on Monday.
