Speakers at a discussion yesterday said physically challenged people are an inseparable part of society and it is the society's responsibility to ensure their right to live with dignity and with equal rights and opportunities. The discussion titled “Problems of the physically challenged and solutions” was organised by Physically Challenged Development Foundation (PCDF), an organisation working for the welfare of the physically challenged students of Rajshahi University (RU). It was held at Rabindra Arts Building at RU marking PCDF's third founding anniversary. Treasurer Prof Abdur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the discussion, where RU Teachers Association General Secretary Prof Sadequl Arefin Matin and law faculty Dean Prof Dr Anisur Rahman also spoke. PCDF President AUZ Prince presided over the programme. Earlier, Prof Abdur inaugurated the anniversary celebrations by releasing pigeons and balloons.
