5 students held with heroin
Police arrested five students including two leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra Moitree (BCM) here early hours yesterday on charge of their involvement in trading drugs.
They also seized 50 grams of heroin worth Tk 50,000 from the arrestees.
Boalia police said Abdur Rahim, 18, and Jahidul Islam Nikkon, both first year HSC students of Rajshahi New Government Degree College, used to purchase and sell heroin while the three others -- Kawsar Ali, 22, a second year honours student and BCM president of the degree college, Wasek Joha Anik, 19, a second year HSC student and the unit's general secretary, and Sojibuzzaman Bappa, 27, a honours student of Asian University, backed them.
