Rashel Bhuiyan
Today is the 11th death anniversary of Rashel Bhuiyan, founder of Murapara Pilot High School and Shahitunnesa Pilot Girls' School at Murapara of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj, says a press release.
On the occasion, Nagorik Oikya Parishad and different organisations will hold discussion and milad mahfil at Rashel Park at his village after Asr prayers today.
Bhuiyan, also a lifetime member of Rupganj Press Club and Rupganj Reporters' Club, was shot by a gang of unidentified criminals at Rashel Park on August 26, 2000 and succumbed to his injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on August 29.
