1 shot, mugged on DU campus
Armed criminals on a motorbike shot a sales staff of a private firm and snatched Tk 4 lakh from him in broad daylight on Dhaka University campus yesterday.
Rafiqul Islam, 32, a sales distributor of Pioneer Distributor Company Ltd, a distributor agency of Grameen Phone, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with a bullet wound in the chest.
Police said a gang of three criminals riding on a motorbike robbed Rafiqul at Fuller Road around 1:00pm as he was walking towards Shahbagh after collecting the money from different places in DMCH and DU areas.
