Ctg hospital gutted
Valuables worth Tk 5 lakh were gutted in a fire at a private hospital on OR Nijam Road under Panchlaish Police Station of the port city Thursday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit in the CCU room on the fifth floor of the Metropolitan Hospital Ltd around 7:10pm, said fire service sources.
Fire fighters from Chandanpura Fire Station extinguished the blaze around 7:35pm.
Many medical instruments of the CCU room were burnt in the fire.
