JMB man held
A team of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a member of banned outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) at Kathbaula Bazar in Muktagachha upazila Wednesday.
The arrestee, Faruq Hossain 28, of Kathbaula village in Muktagachha, was an accused in countrywide series bomb blasts, Rab sources said.
Maj Iftekhar, commander of Crime Prevention Company (CPC) of Rab-9, said two cases were lodged against Faruq in 2005 with Fatullah Police Station in Narayanganj under explosives act and special power act.
Faruq had been working at a garments factory in Fatullah of Narayanganj concealing his identity.
A Mymensingh court sent the arrestee to jail on Thursday.
