Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan
Today is the 40th death anniversary of Khwaja Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan Bir Uttam, says a press release. On the occasion, Bir Uttam Shaheed Khwaja Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan Smriti Sangsad chalked out different programmes both in Comilla and Dhaka. Khwaja Nizam was the sub-sector commander of sector-4 during the liberation war. He sacrificed his life in a direct battle with the Pakistani force in Kanaighat Upazila, Sylhet on that day in 1971. Nizam was posthumously conferred the "Bir Uttam" title.
