JMB activist arrested
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an activist of banned Islamist outfit Jam`atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Sharai village in Nalchhiti upazila in Jhalakathi district early yesterday.
The arrestee was identified as Shohag Talukdar, alias Asif, 22, son of Abdur Rob Talukdar and a member of Majlis-e-Shura of JMB.
He was a resident of Khilgaon in Dhaka.
Rab-8 commanding officer Lt Col Manirul Haque said Sohag was arrested as he came to his village home to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with his family members.
