Half-digitalised JU admission process adds to students' woes
Admission seekers at Jahangirnagar University (JU) are suffering due to its complicated procedure to collect and submit application forms for admission while the process is made easier at other universities like Dhaka University and Shahjalal University of Science & Technology.
Many applicants and guardians yesterday said, though the application forms are available online, but to collect the Student Information Forms they had to go to Agrani Bank causing waste of time.
Meanwhile, some fraudulent people and students are earning some quick bucks out of the situation by sell application forms each at Tk 5 on the campus.
Moreover, applicants have to stay long hours to submit the forms.
University authorities should imply an easy process to collect and submit application forms said an applicant's guardian.
Tauhid Nobi, an applicant hailed from Faridpur, said it's the half-digitalisation of the system that is adding to the applicant's suffering.
JU Proctor Arzu Miah said because of some technical glitches these problems are happening. "We hope we will be able to solve this problem from next year," he said.
