12 judges, officials transferred

The government on Thursday brought changes in the judiciary through transfer of 12 district judges and equivalent judicial officials. The changes were made in consultation with the Supreme Court and a gazette notification was issued in this regard, says a law ministry press release. Kabita Khanam, Rajshahi labour court chairman, was transferred to Chapainawabganj district and sessions judge's court; and Hasan Shahid Ferdous, Natore district and sessions judge, to Rangpur district and sessions judge's court. Md Zahidul Islam, Rajshahi women and children repression prevention tribunal No 2 judge, was made Natore district and sessions judge; and Jebun Nesa, Bogra women and children repression prevention tribunal No 2 judge, was transferred to Meherpur office of district and sessions judge. Bimal Chandra Shikder, Sylhet women and children repression prevention tribunal judge, was made Madaripur district and sessions judge; and Syed Enayet Hossain, Narayanganj women and children repression prevention tribunal judge, was transferred to the Dhaka office of member of administrative tribunal No 3. Md Mojibur Rahman, special judge of Faridpur, was transferred to the Dhaka office of judge of special judge court No 9; and Mahfuza Begum, Bagherhat women and children repression prevention tribunal judge, was transferred to the Khulna office of member of administrative tribunal. Shamsun Nahar Begum, Brahmanbaria women and children repression prevention tribunal judge, was made deputy secretary (legal) of Bangladesh University Grants Commission; and Sadiqul Islam Talukder, Narsingdi women and children repression prevention tribunal judge, was transferred to Dhaka women and children repression prevention tribunal No 1. AKM Mostafa Dewan, Dhaka women and children repression prevention tribunal No 1 judge, was made Manikganj district and sessions judge; and Md Nurul Huda, Manikganj district and sessions judge, was transferred to Mymensingh district and sessions, added the release.
