Biman gets its second Boeing aircraft today
The second new Boeing aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines is likely to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital today.
Named Arun Alo in Bangla, the aircraft will land around 9:45pm, Tasmin Akter, public relations assistant manager of Biman, told The Daily Star.
Earlier on October 26, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the first new Boeing aircraft named Palki (palanquin) of Biman at the airport.
The delivery of the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft is part of the $1.2 billion sales agreement that Biman had signed with the world's leading plane maker Boeing in 2008 for delivery of 10 aircraft between 2011 and 2019.
