105 birds seized from traders
Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation department in separate drives seized 105 birds of different species from the illegal traders of the city's Kaptan Bazar, Mohammadpur areas and the outskirts Tongi yesterday and the day before.
On Saturday, a team of the department conducted drives in Kaptan Bazar and Mohammadpur areas and seized 43 birds including seven doves, 26 parrot and two mynahs.
Meanwhile, another team of the department conducted a drive in Tongi Bazaar area and seized 62 birds of different species including six parrots, one green pigeon and 50 egrets yesterday.
