Four brick kilns fined in Gazipur
A team of Department of Environment (DoE) yesterday fined four brick kilns Tk 12 lakh in Konabari of Gazipur for polluting environment and running their operations without clearance of the department.
The team led by DoE Director (enforcement) Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, during its drives, fined Mrs National Bricks, Mrs Ismail and Company, Mrs Nirman Bricks and Mrs Mamtaz Bricks asking the authorities to stop environment pollution by modernising them by two months, said a press release.
