Five held with cannabis, yaba in Ctg
Five alleged drug peddlers were arrested and 700 pieces of yaba tablets and six kg of cannabis were seized from Cox's Bazar and Chittagong on Wednesday.
A team of Rab-7 arrested four alleged drug peddlers and seized 700 pieces of yaba tablets worth about Tk 2.8 lakh from a hotel in Jhautala area of Cox's Bazar.
The arrestees are Md Rafiquel Islam, 27, his brother Md Saiful Islam, 22, Md Basir Ahmed, 23, and Md Abul Kalam, 38.
Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, Rab members raided the Chittagong Railway Station area and arrested Mostafa Kamal, 50, along with six kg of cannabis worth about Tk 30,000.
