Two killed in road crashes

Two people, including a teenage boy, were killed in separate road accidents in Dinajpur and Satkhira on Friday night and yesterday. Our Dinajpur correspondent reports: A teenage boy was killed on the spot when a speedy truck crashed his motorcycle on the Dinajpur-Rangpur highway at Noyanpur village of Sadar upazila on Friday night. The deceased was Md Nazmul Islam, 13, son of Md Babul Hossain, of Nayanpur village of Sadar upazila. Following the accident, agitating villagers blocked the highway for more than one hour. Our Satkhira correspondent says: A bicycle rider was killed when a motorbike hit him from behind on the Satkhira-Assassuni road at Ramchandrapur intersection in Sadar upazila yesterday. The deceased was Abdur Rahman, 48, son of Erfan Ali, of village Dhulihar of Sadar upazila. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
